This collection contains a legal deposition taken in London, England, in 1826 and thirteen supporting documents. The materials relate to the family of Thomas Dunkin, who lived in the county of Surrey, England, until his death in February 1815. The supporting documents consist of proofs of marriage and births taken from church registers at various English parishes, and a surgeon's statement concerning the mental incompetency of Christopher Dunkin. The deposition was sworn to Anthony Brown, Lord Mayor of London, and a notary public added a note attesting to the mayor's signature.
